Day 1: Upington |
|
We will depart from Pretoria/Johannesburg and travel west for most of the day. We will arrive at our destination in Upington later that day.

Day 2: Fishriver Canyon |
|
We depart from Upington and head to the beautiful country of Namibia. After crossing the border, we head for the open desert on our way to the Fish River Canyon. It is the largest canyon in Africa and the second largest in the world. We will camp for the night and enjoy the passion of the great canyon. It is known to take your breath away. This is just the beginning of a beautiful Namibian experience.

Day 3: Aus |

Breakfast is served whilst visiting the canyon one more time. We make our way further north-west to the small desert town of Aus. We will arrive late in the afternoon with just enough time to go for a short hike up the mountain to watch the sunset. This experience is something that you will not quickly forget. Our campsite for the night is situated in amongst the boulders and Koppies (rocky outcrop).

Day 4: Sesriem |
|
After breakfast we visit the wild horses that roam the Namib Desert and then make our way up to Sossusvlei. The drive takes us through some of the most scenic areas in Namibia as we head towards the most beautiful dunes in the world. We will arrive late in the afternoon at the campsite which is situated close to the Sesriem canyon. The next morning we will visit the red dunes of Sossusvlei. These are the largest dunes in the world and they cover almost the whole south western part of Namibia. At night the campsite is frequently visited by Jackals (Fox), Gemsbok (Oryx), and Hyenas.

Day 5, 6, 7, 8: Swakopmund |

We will depart from Sossusvlei and the road once again goes through some of the most awesome scenery of this dry country as we head towards Swakopmund. Breakfast is served on the way in a little town of Solitaire (Apple Crumble Pie and Coffee). The drive from Solitaire to Swakopmund is through the Namibian Naukluft National Park and is unmistakably the most barren section of this country. We will arrive in Swakopmund in the early afternoon and check into the Gruner Kranz Hotel. After lunch you are briefed on all the activities that are offered. The next three days are spent at your own will. This means you get the opportunity to explore the town, take in some real German culture and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the area.
One day is set aside for visiting the Cape Cross Seals.

Day 9: Cheetah Park |
|
Leaving Swakopmund behind us we make our way up towards Kamanjab. Our campsite for the night is situated under the Camel Thorn trees at a Cheetah Park. Here our host’s take us out on an open vehicle where we observe the Cheetah’s being fed. These Cheetahs are on the red data (endangered) list. Here you will have the opportunity to experience a traditional African bush Braai (BBQ).

Day 10, 11: Etosha |
|
After visiting the few tame Cheetahs that live in the home of our Host’s, we make our way to Etosha National Park. Our time spent in Etosha will take us through most of the park. We take a short break on the pan itself, the flood plains of this amazing park. At night the watering holes are frequented by many animals, and the chances of seeing some of the Big 5 are high.

Day 12, 13: Northern Okavango |
|
This day we drive most of the day. We will go through the towns of Tjomeb, Grootfontein, Rundu and then onto the town of Dovundu. Our campsite is situated alongside the Kavango River. This is the most Northern part of the Okavango Delta. Our campsite is known to most people as being one of the most beautiful campsites in Africa. It is very common to see crocodile in the river and Hippo coming out to feed at night. Here you can enjoy the sunrise from the deck or go for a swim in the river swimming pool. You also have the opportunity to go on a Mokoro (dug out canoe) trip up the river. Your local guide will inform you on the wildlife and parks in the area.

Day 14,15,16: Victoria Falls |
|
We will get up early and take a leisurely drive to The Great Zambezi River, the river which forms the border of Namibia and Zambia. After the border formalities we make our way down to Livingstone (the once Capital of Zambia). Our evening will be spent on a wonderful cruise on the Zambezi River, where after we retire. Once again you have a free day or two, where you are welcome to do one or more of the great activities that are on offer in this area. A visit to the Victoria Falls is included in the tour.

Day 17: Botswana |
|
We will cross the Zambezi River via ferry into Botswana and drive through the Chobe area. We will make our way to the South-eastern part of Botswana where we will rest for the night. You will have the opportunity to experience a traditional African Braai.

Day 18: South Africa |
|
Today being the last day of our tour, we give you the chance to sleep late and enjoy a relaxed breakfast before departing for South Africa. We will arrive back in Pretoria/Johannesburg in the late afternoon.
