From the Canyon we continue on into the remote Namibian hinterland. We will arrive at Sesriem Camp in the afternoon and have time to go for a walk in to the smaller Sesriem Canyon. This is an excellent night to sleep beside the fire out under the stars surrounded by the shifting dunes and desert silence. |

We will take advantage of the cooler temperatures and will depart at dawn. We will drive into the Namib-Naukluft National Park where we will hike up Dune 45 to gain a different perspective of the desert. We leave the truck at the 2x4 parking area where you have the option to go on a guided walk with a local expert on the area, or hike into Sossusvlei with some of the group members. In the later afternoon we drive to camp and take time to relax.

We will take dramatic drive through the arid Namib Naukluft and arrive at Walvis Bay where, if we are fortunate, the resident flamingo flock can be seen.
