7 Day Okavango Delta

Full Itinerary

Highlights:  Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Okavango Delta & Botswana


Day 1: South Africa - Botswana

Departing early morning, the road takes us through the waterburg towards the border of Botswana, and then on to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary.  Late afternoon we will go on a game drive in the sanctuary.

Day 2: Okavango Delta

Leaving early morning the road takes us north through this semi desert country.  The drive takes us through the central Kalahari and then up to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta.  Once in camp your guide will explain the do’s and don’ts of the Okavango Delta.

Days 3, 4: Okavango Delta                               

Leaving the world behind us we make our way into the Okavango Delta for the bush experience of a life time.  The 4x4 vehicles will take us into the Delta and the drive will take us through the Mopany forest before getting to the edge of the Delta.  Once in the Delta we’ll settle down into the Mokoro (dug-out canoe).  Whilst our guides pole us down the waterways of this 14000 square kilometer wildlife wilderness, we can enjoy the tranquility of the Delta.  Our camp is somewhere in the wilderness.  Walking safaris and wildlife are on our doorstep for you to enjoy.

Day 5: Maun                                      

After a last walk in the wilderness we will make our way back to the Mokoro station where the 4x4 vehicles will collect us and take us back to the main camp in Maun.  Once back at camp there will be time for you to take an optional scenic flight over the Okavango Delta.

Day 6: Palapye                                    

Leaving the delta we will make our way south down through Botswana to the small town of Palapye where we’ll spend the night and enjoy an outdoor restaurant meal.

Day 7: Botswana - South Africa

Leaving Botswana early morning we make our way down to Pretoria, arriving early afternoon.
